Go Tell It On The Mountain was definitely the most fun song of the set. Needtobreathe’s arrangement of it is twang-tastic (it’s a good thing; don’t hate). It makes the song feel more like a campfire jam so that’s how we played it. Capt. Hook and I added some swing, muted strums and breaks so that people could clap along, which they did. It felt like the right way to sing about shouting, “Jesus Christ is born,” from a mountain.
