highlights:
The biggest highlights for both me and rest of the congregation were the last two songs. We blended Only King Forever with Little Drummer Boy and it came out really cool! Lyrically, the two songs seem to work well together. Only King Forever is a song that rejoices in the supremacy of Jesus as seen in our lives today while Little Drummer Boy is a song that celebrates the supremacy of Jesus as seen in the manger. Our “mashup” connected our present celebration with that happening during the actual birth of Jesus in a unique way. Singing Jesus Emmanuel for the first time during a Sunday morning service was really special too. And who doesn’t like the arrangements off of Future of Forestry’s The Advent Anthology?! You’re crazy if you don’t. Real talk.
